Arbor Day 2017

Richland College has officially become a national Tree Campus USA College and will be conducting a ceremony with the Texas Trees Foundation, Girl Scouts and the Texas A&M Forest Service. On Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., in observance of Texas Arbor Day Richland College Student Green Team, faculty, staff and community volunteers in collaboration with the Texas Trees Foundation, Girl Scouts and the Texas A&M Forest Service, will be two fold with a Tree Campus USA Award Ceremony between the Wichita and Pecos Buildings near upper Lake Thunderduck and the planting of native species of trees and shrubs in the upper Lake Thunderduck east side of north bridge locations to educate the college community about the benefits of trees on our campus and in our community. We are inviting members of the Richland College community and all tree lovers to come and join in supporting Richland College’s 2017 Arbor Day Tree Campus USA Celebration. The Texas Tree Foundation will provide refreshments and water bottles.
